Office Navigator ($24.95) (0.343MB)
|
Description:
Imagine a tool that remembers all the Office files you've opened in the past, and the last 20 folders where you've browsed. A powerhouse that lets you create point-and-click lists of all your favorite Office files, templates, and folders, so you never have to look for them again. A utility that turns the Task Pane into a powerful document and template launcher, and adds up to 255 icons to the Places Bar in the 'Open' and 'Save As' dialog box. An integrated Office solution that lets you open a Word document while you're working in Excel, or create a new presentation from Access, without first starting PowerPoint. A time-saving and easy-to-use tool that doesn't take up any space on your screen, so you have more room for your documents.
Features:
All your essential files and templates are just a click away. With Office Navigator you can create a list of the Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access documents and templates you use all the time. Your files appear both on the Office Navigator menu and on the Office Task Pane. One click, and your document, workbook, presentation or database is open, regardless of the Office application you're running.
Instant access to your recent files, templates, and folders. Forget the limited list of recent files in the File menu and the Task Pane. With Office Navigator you can re-open any of your (up to 200, or even more!) most recent documents, workbooks, presentations, and databases. One click gives you access to any of the last 20 folders where you've browsed. And all your recent templates are on the same menu.
Office Navigator also gives you full control over the way Office handles your recent files. You can add your own file types, and specify how many shortcuts Office creates for each file type. And if you need to clear your Office history you can do that, too.
Add all your favorite folders to the Places Bar. With Office Navigator you can create up to 255 private Places Bar icons, and organize them simply by dragging them from one position to another, so your favorites are always at the top. Your places appear both in the 'Open' and 'Save As' dialog boxes, and on the Office Navigator menu. You can even customize the file view (List, Details, Properties, Preview, Thumbnails) for each individual Place.
Tame the Office dialog boxes. Don't let Microsoft dictate how your templates are listed in the 'New' dialog box. Office Navigator displays them in the view that suits you: large icons, small icons, or full file details. And if you have Windows 2000 or XP, you can display the 'Open' and 'New' dialog boxes (and most other Office dialog boxes) transparently, so you can see your documents at the same time.
Save space, save time. With Office Navigator you get more room for your documents. All your favorite and recent files appear on the menu, so if you really need your workspace, you can hide the Task Pane. And you'll hardly ever see the 'Open' dialog box on your screen, because the document, workbook, presentation, database or template you need is probably already on the menu.
Total Office integration. Office Navigator works with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access (2000, 2002, and 2003). So you can open a Word document while you're working in Excel, or create a new presentation from Access, without first starting PowerPoint. It's the sort of integration Microsoft should have given you, but you need Office Navigator to get it.
Customize Office. Office Navigator gives you many customization options. Click here for a preview of the control panel.
